These terms apply when you join the divorcd membership. They sit alongside our terms of use, community guidelines and privacy policy. The membership is provided by , trading as divorcd.
What you get
Membership gives you access to our private members' community and the benefits described on our Community page at the time you join. We may improve or change individual benefits, but we won't reduce what membership offers overall during a year you've paid for without telling you and offering a fair partial refund.
Our community runs on Discord. You'll need a free Discord account, which is covered by Discord's own terms and privacy policy.
Who can join
You must be 18 or over, and you must agree to follow our community guidelines.
Price and payment
- Membership costs £49 a year, paid upfront.
- Founding members: our first 50 members pay £24.50 a year, and keep that price for as long as their membership continues without a break. If a founding membership is cancelled or lapses, it can't be restarted at the founding price.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices include any VAT that applies.
Renewal
Your membership renews automatically each year so you don't lose access. We'll email you at least 14 days before it renews to remind you of the date and price, and how to cancel. If our price is going up, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your renewal, and founding members will keep their founding price.
Cancelling
- Your 14-day right to cancel: you can cancel within 14 days of joining, or of a renewal, for a full refund. Just email hello@divorcd.com.
- After 14 days: you can turn off renewal at any time from your membership page (sign in with the email you joined with), and you'll keep access until the end of the year you've paid for. We don't give partial refunds after the first 14 days, except where the law requires it or where we've reduced what membership offers.
If we end your membership
We may suspend or end your membership if you seriously or repeatedly break our community guidelines, for example by harassing other members, sharing someone's private information, or posting unlawful content. Where it's fair and safe, we'll warn you first. If we end your membership for breaking the rules, we won't normally give a refund. If we close the membership altogether, we'll refund the unused part of your year.
Community safety
Our moderators look after the community, but other members' posts are their own views and experiences, not advice from us. Members share experiences, not professional advice. See our community guidelines for how we keep the community safe, including when we may need to share information to protect someone.
